My mother does a great job and with her intensive Thanksgiving planning, it all goes smoothly and there are no surprises.
…at least as far as she knows.
Today, I am the mother of a Homecoming Princess. Yes, me. It’s almost funny, the irony of the situation.
I was given this recipe as a gift from a former boyfriend’s mother, but told that if we ever broke up, I was to tear it into tiny pieces and destroy it. We did and I didn’t.
The amount of water still flowing through this Bayou City confounds the imagination.
It’s not the first time you’ve left home, but it might be the last.
My heart is breaking for my friend. For her family. And I have no words to make it better.
